CB Radio Tips for Communicating & FAQs (Part 2)

Welcome back to our second post on how to effectively communicate on CB.  Here are some more tips to share the airwaves.

How do I break into a CB radio channel?

Your initial break in will probably interrupt someone else.  Use the term “break” to keep it short, and offer a sort-of apology for your interruption.  You should always try to do it during a pause in the conversation.

Give some time after a unit breaks for another user.

The calling unit has the CB channel.  If they are trying to break in, give them some time to respond before you jump in. 

Even when you break, keep it short.

After you effectively break into a conversation, keep it short.  This will limit the interruption on a busy channel.
