The President Harrison FCC combines everyday AM/FM CB operation with FM CTCSS/DCS tone filtering, receive and transmit noise-reduction settings, weather alerts and a built-in SWR meter. Its compact chassis and front-panel USB charging port suit mobile installations where space and accessible controls matter.
What CTCSS/DCS does, and what it does not do
CTCSS and DCS let you filter received FM audio using a selected tone or code. For a straightforward group setup, match the FM channel and code settings on the participating radios. This is selective squelch, not encryption: the channel remains shared and other listeners can still hear compatible transmissions. CTCSS/DCS is available in FM only.
Harrison FCC features
- 40-channel AM/FM CB: choose the same channel and mode as the other radio.
- 12/24V vehicle compatibility: rated for 13.8V or 27.6V DC, with negative ground.
- FM CTCSS/DCS: 38 tone and 104 code choices for selective squelch, with per-channel settings.
- Noise controls: NRC with separate receive and transmit settings, plus NB, ANL and HI-CUT.
- Manual squelch and ASC: choose manual adjustment or President’s Automatic Squelch Control.
- Scan and Scan Skip: monitor channels and leave unwanted channels out of a scan.
- Weather reception and alert: monitor available weather broadcasts.
- SWR measurement: built-in readout and automatic SWR calibration mode.
- Audio functions: VOX, talkback, roger beep and public address with a separate PA speaker.
- Front USB charging: 5V, 2.1A output for compatible devices.
- Multicolor display: seven backlight colors and adjustable brightness.

Included equipment and setup
The radio includes an electret UP/DOWN microphone and support, mounting cradle, screws, fused power cord and manual. The radio-only listing does not include an antenna, antenna coax, external speaker or PA speaker.
Connect a suitable CB antenna before transmitting. The automatic SWR calibration mode helps measure the antenna system; it does not physically tune the antenna. Adjust the installed antenna and correct grounding or coax issues as needed.
Don't forget to add the Pro tune and alignment option at checkout so that your radio is professionally bench-tuned for best performance per the manufacturer's service manual.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Harrison FCC work on AM and FM?
Yes. It provides AM and FM on the 40 CB channels. It does not provide USB or LSB single-sideband modes. Match the channel and mode used by the other radio.
What do CTCSS and DCS do on this radio?
In FM mode, they let a receiver open its squelch for a selected tone or code. They do not encrypt transmissions or make a shared CB channel private; another receiver with tone filtering disabled can still hear compatible FM transmissions.
Can I use CTCSS or DCS in AM mode?
No. The Harrison FCC manual specifies CTCSS/DCS operation in FM only. For a simple group setup, use the same FM channel and matching code settings on the participating radios.
Can it run from a 24V vehicle electrical system?
Yes. Harrison FCC supports nominal 12V and 24V negative-ground systems, with specified inputs of 13.8V and 27.6V DC. Follow the supplied wiring and fuse instructions.
Does automatic SWR calibration tune the antenna for me?
No. The radio measures SWR and provides a calibration mode to help you check the installation. You still adjust the antenna and correct grounding or coax problems as needed. Connect a suitable antenna before transmitting.
Which microphone connection does the Harrison FCC use?
It uses a front six-pin President microphone connection and includes an electret UP/DOWN microphone. The microphone-type menu supports compatible President electret or dynamic six-pin microphones. A standard four-pin Cobra-style microphone is not a direct plug-in replacement.
Does NRC work on receive and transmit?
Yes. The manual provides separate receive and transmit NRC settings. Set each function as needed; these controls are different from CTCSS/DCS tone filtering.
Can I connect an external CB speaker?
Yes. Use the external receive-speaker jack for a standard CB external speaker. The separate PA speaker jack is for public-address use, not the normal receive-speaker connection.
Does the radio-only listing include an antenna?
No. It includes the radio, electret UP/DOWN microphone and support, mounting cradle, screws, fused power cord and manual. Choose an existing compatible antenna system or one of the linked Harrison antenna combos.
