President Johnny III USA + Virginia Antenna & Aries Speaker Combo
Build a compact AM CB installation with the President Johnny III USA, President Virginia magnetic-mount antenna, and Aries 3-inch external speaker. The Virginia supplies its own coax cable, while the speaker gives you a separate location for received audio.
The included Johnny III USA is a 40-channel AM CB radio for 12- or 24-volt vehicle systems. It features NOAA weather reception and alerts, manual squelch and ASC, RF gain, channel scan, VOX, and an orange, green, or blue display. It does not provide FM or SSB operation.

Antenna mounting and setup
The Virginia magnetic base needs a suitable steel mounting surface and an appropriate vehicle ground plane. It will not attach directly to aluminum, fiberglass, or plastic.
Check clearance and cable routing before choosing the mounting position. Verify SWR on the completed installation with an external meter; the Johnny III's signal meter does not measure SWR. A factory antenna setting does not replace a check on your vehicle.
Speaker connection
Connect the Aries speaker to the rear EXT.SP. receive-speaker jack. The separate PA.SP. jack is for public-address use and is not the connection intended for this combo's receive speaker.
Don't forget to add the Pro tune and alignment option at checkout so that your radio is professionally bench-tuned for best performance per the manufacturer's service manual.

Does the Virginia antenna include coax?
Yes. The Virginia includes 12 feet of antenna coax. There is no separate coax component in this package.
Will its magnetic base attach to an aluminum roof?
No. It requires a suitable steel surface. Aluminum, fiberglass, and plastic do not provide a magnetic mounting surface.
Does this combo include an SWR meter?
No. Use a separate external SWR meter to check the installation. The Johnny III USA does not have a built-in SWR meter.
Where does the Aries speaker connect?
Connect it to the rear EXT.SP. external receive-speaker jack, not the separate PA.SP. jack.
Is this an AM/FM radio package?
No. The included Johnny III USA supports 40-channel AM CB operation, not FM or SSB.
Can the radio use a 24-volt vehicle supply?
Yes. The Johnny III USA supports nominal 12- and 24-volt negative-ground vehicle systems. Check the vehicle wiring and follow the radio's installation instructions.
