Choose this Johnny III USA package for a compact AM CB radio with a wired President DIGIMIKE microphone. The DIGIMIKE adds five adjustable levels of microphone noise reduction while retaining familiar PTT operation and UP/DOWN channel controls.
The included Johnny III USA is a 40-channel AM CB radio for 12- or 24-volt vehicle systems. It features NOAA weather reception and alerts, manual squelch and ASC, RF gain, channel scan, VOX, and an orange, green, or blue display. It does not provide FM or SSB operation.

Direct President six-pin connection
The DIGIMIKE is designed for President six-pin CB and 10-meter radios and connects to the Johnny III USA's front microphone socket. This is the President configuration, not a generic claim that every six-pin microphone has matching wiring.
Use an on-air check with another station to choose a useful NRC setting rather than automatically selecting the strongest filtering. President recommends speaking from at least 4 inches away and avoiding direct contact between the microphone and your mouth.
Transmit-noise reduction versus squelch
DIGIMIKE's NRC works on microphone audio sent to the other station. The radio's ASC and manual squelch mute receive-side background noise between signals; they do not replace the microphone's NRC function.
The DIGIMIKE also supports use with a VOX-equipped radio such as the Johnny III USA. The antenna system, external SWR meter, and any external receive speaker are separate from this combo.
