President Thomas FCC + Virginia Antenna & Speaker Combo
Thomas FCC with a magnetic antenna and external receive speaker
This combo pairs the President Thomas FCC AM/FM CB radio with a President Virginia magnetic antenna and an Aries three-inch wedge speaker. It suits a vehicle with a suitable metal antenna-mounting surface and a driver who wants receive audio positioned separately from the radio.
Included components
| Component | Quantity | Role |
|---|---|---|
| President Thomas FCC AM/FM CB radio | 1 | Includes the original President electret microphone. |
| President Virginia magnetic CB antenna | 1 | Magnetic base, low-profile antenna and supplied coax. |
| Aries three-inch wedge external speaker | 1 | Separate receive speaker with cable and mounting hardware. |
Magnetic mounting and speaker placement
The Virginia is approximately 19.69 inches long and includes a magnetic base and approximately 12-foot coax lead. Use a suitable flat ferrous-metal surface and verify antenna clearance and cable reach. Connect the Aries speaker to the external receive-speaker jack, not the PA jack.
Check the completed antenna installation
Use an external CB SWR meter and suitable jumper after installation. A pre-tuned antenna still needs an installed-system check. The meter and jumper are not included.
President antenna warranty program
President advertises a 2+3 radio-warranty program when a President radio is purchased with an external President antenna. This package pairs those product types; eligibility remains subject to President’s current program terms.
Thomas FCC radio features
The radio provides 40-channel AM/FM operation, 12/24V vehicle compatibility, manual squelch and ASC, channel scan, a seven-color display, VOX, talkback and USB charging. Its original electret microphone uses a six-pin President connection. SSB is not included; match the channel and mode of the other radio.
Don't forget to add the Pro tune and alignment option at checkout so that your radio is professionally bench-tuned for best performance per the manufacturer's service manual.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Virginia and speaker combo include?
The Thomas FCC radio with its supplied microphone, a President Virginia magnetic-mount antenna with its supplied coax, and an Aries three-inch wedge external speaker with mounting hardware.
What surface does the magnetic antenna need?
A suitable flat ferrous-metal mounting surface with adequate antenna clearance. A magnetic base will not attach directly to aluminum, fiberglass or glass. Confirm the actual vehicle installation before use.
Is antenna coax included?
Yes. The Virginia includes its magnetic base and an approximately 12-foot coax lead. Check cable routing and reach before installing it.
Does the antenna still need an SWR check?
Yes. Check the completed installation with an external CB SWR meter and suitable jumper. A pre-tuned antenna description does not guarantee the installed system’s SWR; the meter and jumper are not included.
Where do I connect the Aries speaker?
Use the Thomas FCC external receive-speaker jack, not its separate PA jack. Mount the speaker securely where receive audio can be heard comfortably.
Is the original radio microphone still included?
Yes. The Thomas FCC includes its original President electret microphone. Any separately listed microphone in this package is an additional accessory, not a removal of the supplied mic.
