Radio controls and microphone
The PC78LTX FM gives you physical controls for AM/FM selection, volume, squelch, RF gain and microphone gain. Its HI CUT control, noise blanker and automatic noise limiter provide receive-audio adjustments, while the analog meter can display signal strength, relative RF output or antenna SWR.
The DRX-6560 uses standard four-pin Cobra-style wiring for the radio's front microphone connection. Its dynamic element does not need a battery or an external microphone power source. Noise-cancelling microphone design addresses pickup at the microphone; it does not replace the radio's receive-noise controls.
Connect the DRX-9010 to the rear EXT. SP. jack for receive audio, not the separate PA speaker jack. The radio's internal speaker switches off when an external speaker is connected.
Plan the rest of your station
This combo does not include an antenna, antenna mount or coax. Use a suitable CB antenna installation and check SWR using the radio's built-in meter and the procedure in the owner's manual.
The radio requires 13.8V DC and is designed for a 12-volt negative-ground vehicle system. Its nominal dimensions are 7-9/32″ W × 7-51/64″ D × 2-13/64″ H, excluding knobs and jacks; allow additional connection and ventilation space.
