The Uniden PRO538HHFM handheld CB radio has 40 CB channels and sports both AM and FM modes. A convenient feature of this radio is Dual Watch, which allows you to talk on one channel while monitoring another channel at the same time. Tune into NOAA Weather for the latest weather updates, and choose between a high power setting to extend your range or a low power setting to extend battery life.
The PRO538HHFM comes with two slide on battery trays — one for alkaline and one for rechargeable NiMH batteries. While batteries for these trays are not included, a slide on power adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket gives you the option of using your vehicle's battery to power the radio while you're on the road. This adapter comes with an external antenna connector, which means you can either make use of the included whip antenna or plug in your favorite mobile CB antenna for the best results.
