Check the vehicle before installation
Confirm that the mount fits your mirror arm and that the antenna has adequate clearance. Establish suitable grounding, route the coax clear of pinch points and heat, and check antenna SWR after mounting. This is a component-matched package, not a guarantee that one mount fits every truck.
Radio features and connections
The TRE-2617 includes AM/FM operation, weather reception and alert, adjustable receive noise reduction, NB/ANL, variable talkback and a seven-color dimmable display. Connect the coax to the rear SO-239 jack and use a nominal 12V negative-ground supply. The radio does not support SSB or direct 24V power.
The included Ranger SRA-198 microphone connects to the standard four-pin socket. This package does not include an external speaker or an additional DRX-6560 microphone.

The SR-A10’s standard 3/8-24 mounting thread matches the mount’s antenna stud. The coax’s PL-259 connectors connect the mount’s coax fitting to the radio’s SO-239 antenna jack.
Will the mirror mount fit every truck?
No universal vehicle fit is promised. Check your mirror-arm dimensions, mounting space, antenna clearance and grounding before choosing this clamp-on mount.
Do I still need to check antenna SWR?
Yes. Install and ground the antenna system correctly, then check and adjust SWR before normal use. The radio’s SWR protection is not a substitute for an installation check.
Is an external speaker or extra microphone included?
The Ranger microphone supplied with the radio is included. This truck-install combo does not add an external speaker or a DRX-6560 microphone; those are included in the separate audio combo.
Can I connect this radio directly to 24V?
No. Use a suitable nominal 12V negative-ground supply. The radio is specified for 13.8V DC and must not be connected directly to 24V.
