Uniden PC78LTX FM Truck Install Combo
Build a mirror-mount CB antenna setup around the Uniden PC78LTX FM. This package combines the 40-channel AM/FM radio with a Stryker SR-A10 antenna, Driver Extreme DRX-3402 heavy-duty mirror mount and DRX-1518 18-foot M213 coax.
The radio's built-in SWR meter and calibration control support antenna-system checks during installation. Traditional knobs and switches keep AM/FM selection, RF gain, microphone gain, squelch and noise filtering within easy reach.

Fitment, grounding and SWR
Check the mirror arm or proposed mounting surface for size, strength and a suitable ground connection before ordering. This is not a universal-fit kit: some vehicles require a different mounting location, vehicle-specific hardware or additional bonding.
Plan antenna clearance and route the coax away from sharp edges, pinch points, moving parts and heat. The supplied antenna is for the mirror-mount installation, not a magnetic-mount assembly.
Adjust the installed antenna for the 27 MHz CB band and check SWR. The PC78LTX FM includes the meter and calibration control; follow the owner's manual and the antenna's adjustment instructions. A separate external SWR meter is not included.
Power and radio mounting
The PC78LTX FM requires 13.8V DC and is designed for a 12-volt negative-ground vehicle system. Do not connect the supplied lead directly to a 24-volt electrical system.
Uniden lists nominal dimensions of 7-9/32″ W × 7-51/64″ D × 2-13/64″ H without knobs and jacks. Allow extra space for controls, rear connections, cable bends and ventilation when planning the radio position.

Is an SWR meter included?
Yes. The radio has a built-in SWR meter with a calibration control. A separate external meter is not included; follow the radio manual to check the installed antenna system.
Will the mirror mount fit every truck?
No. Verify the dimensions and strength of the actual mounting surface, along with antenna clearance and grounding. Additional vehicle-specific hardware or bonding may be required.
Does the antenna need adjustment after installation?
Yes. Check and adjust the installed antenna for the CB band using the antenna manufacturer's instructions and the radio's SWR procedure. Do not assume the antenna is ready simply because the components are connected.
Does it include the Driver Extreme microphone and speaker?
No. The radio comes with its stock microphone. The DRX-6560 microphone and DRX-9010 external speaker belong to the separate audio combo.
Can I use the radio on a 24-volt vehicle system?
Not directly. The radio is specified for 13.8V DC and a 12-volt negative-ground installation. A suitable regulated DC converter would be required for a 24-volt vehicle; a converter is not included.
