What the antenna installation kit contains
The kit includes the IC56 102-inch whip, 18-foot RG8X coax with PL-259 ends, aluminum mounting bracket and stud, five-inch pot-belly barrel spring and a tie-down. These are the standard kit components, not the separate DRX-3402 and DRX-1518 combination.
Plan the installation
Allow clearance for the 102-inch whip plus its spring and mount. Check support strength, grounding and safe cable routing. Use an external CB SWR meter and jumper to check and adjust the installed system before normal operation; those test items are not included.
Radio features and power
The Bill III provides 40-channel AM/FM, 4W rated carrier output, NOAA weather alerts, ASC, transmit/receive NRC and a seven-color display. Its chassis measures 4.02 inches wide, 3.94 inches deep and 0.98 inches high. Use a nominal 12V supply, specified at 13.8V DC; a 24V installation needs a suitable converter.
