Connex CX33HPMAX Audio Combo
This combo pairs the Connex CX33HPMAX AM/FM 10-meter radio with a Driver Extreme DRX-9010 external speaker and DRX-6560 noise-cancelling dynamic microphone. It is intended for a station with a suitable antenna system already installed, where the priority is microphone choice and positioning receive audio outside the radio chassis.

Connections and setup
The DRX-6560 uses the radio's four-pin wiring arrangement: shield on pin 1, audio on pin 2, transmit on pin 3 and receive on pin 4. Connect the DRX-9010 to the radio's EXT. SP jack, not its PA jack; using the external receive speaker disconnects the internal speaker.
The radio requires 13.8V DC and a suitable negative-ground installation. Use an antenna matched to your operating frequencies and verify SWR before transmitting. This combo does not include an antenna, antenna mount or coax cable.
The radio is listed at 120W peak output. Its owner's manual gives nominal dimensions of 7⅞″ W × 9¼″ D × 2⅜″ H. Allow additional installation clearance for controls, connections and ventilation.

Is the DRX-6560 wired for this radio?
Yes. Its pin arrangement matches the CX33HPMAX manual: pin 1 shield, pin 2 audio, pin 3 transmit and pin 4 receive. It is a dynamic microphone and does not require a battery.
Where does the external speaker connect?
Connect the DRX-9010 to the rear EXT. SP receive-speaker jack. The radio's internal speaker disconnects when an external speaker is connected; the separate PA jack has a different purpose.
Does the combo include an antenna?
No. An antenna, antenna mount and coax are not included in this audio combo. Use a suitable existing antenna installation or choose the truck-install combo.
Does this combo add SSB operation?
No. The CX33HPMAX remains an AM/FM 10-meter radio. Changing the microphone or speaker does not add USB or LSB operation.
Is this a plug-in household radio?
No. The radio requires a suitable 13.8V DC supply and proper wiring. An AC power supply is not included, and an antenna system is still required for transmission.
