No FCC license is required to operate a CB radio in the United States. The George FCC is Part 95 certified for the 11-meter Citizens Band and is legal to install in any personal vehicle, work truck, or base station.

The BT MIKE's 6-pin Bluetooth base plugs into the George's front mic jack — no rewiring, no adapters. Pair the mic to the base once and it stays paired.

Warranty

The George FCC carries a 2-year President warranty, extended to 5 years when purchased with a President antenna. The BT MIKE carries its own President accessory warranty.

Is the BT MIKE truly wireless?
Yes. Once the 6-pin Bluetooth base is plugged into the George's mic jack, the mic itself connects wirelessly by Bluetooth. You keep a stock 6-pin plug on the radio and gain full mic mobility.

Does the BT MIKE work with any President CB?
Yes — any President CB with the 6-pin mic configuration, which includes the George FCC.

What if the batteries die on the mic?
The George's stock 6-pin hand mic keeps working — you can also just unplug the Bluetooth base and plug the stock mic back in as a backup. Nothing gets orphaned.

How's the audio quality vs. a corded mic?
The BT MIKE uses the same 5-level NRC noise-reduction circuit as the DIGIMIKE, so outbound audio is on par with the corded model. The Bluetooth link is low-latency for PTT.

Do I need an FCC license?
No. CB radio has not required a license in the United States since 1983. The George FCC is Part 95 certified.

Does this combo qualify for the 5-year warranty extension?
The 5-year warranty extension applies when you also buy a President antenna in the same order. This combo doesn't include an antenna — add a Virginia or another President antenna to trigger the extension.
