Installation Overview

1. Mount the DRX-3402 mirror mount to your driver-side or passenger-side west-coast mirror bracket using the included stainless hardware.
2. Thread the Stryker SR-A10 base onto the mirror mount's SO-239 stud. Confirm it's tight and grounded to the mirror bracket.
3. Route the DRX-1518 coax from the antenna base down through the cab door seal (or through an existing grommet) to the radio location. Avoid running coax parallel to power wiring where possible.
4. Connect the coax to the antenna base and to the Walker IV FCC's SO-239 rear connector.
5. Wire the Walker IV FCC to switched 12V and ground using the included power cord.
6. Check SWR using the Walker IV FCC's built-in SWR meter. Adjust the SR-A10 tip (loosen the tip screw, extend or shorten, retighten) until SWR reads 1.5:1 or below on channel 20. Recheck on channels 1 and 40 — target under 2.0:1 across the band.

How do I tune the SR-A10?
Use the Walker IV FCC's built-in SWR meter. Set the radio to channel 20, key up briefly, and read SWR. If it's above 1.5:1, loosen the tip screw on the SR-A10 whip, extend or shorten the tip a small amount (start with about 1/8″), retighten, and re-key. Repeat until SWR reads 1.5:1 or lower on channel 20, then confirm SWR stays under 2.0:1 on channels 1 and 40. Full instructions ship with the antenna. Does the Stryker SR-A10 work for 10-meter as well as CB?
