Does this combo include a cooling fan?
No. The Washington ships without a fan by default, and this combo covers the radio, antenna, mount, and coax only. Given the heavy-mobile-duty target for this combo, we recommend the dual ACMD901 kit or the professional fan installation service.
Will this install work on a pickup truck or does it require a Class-8 truck?
It works on either. The DRX-3402 is designed for factory mirror brackets, which are standard on Class-8 trucks and full-size pickups. If your vehicle doesn't have suitable mirror brackets, consider the no-drill Stryker SR-A10MM magnetic-mount antenna instead.
How is my warranty affected by this combo?
The Washington's standard warranty is 2 years, and it extends to 5 years when purchased with a President-brand antenna. The SR-A10 is a Stryker antenna, so this combo carries the standard 2-year Washington warranty. Do I need a mic upgrade too?
The Washington ships with President's stock hand mic, so this combo is complete for basic transmit. Many Class-8 drivers upgrade to the President DIGIMIKE for stronger noise cancellation, or the BT Mike for hands-free Bluetooth operation. Both are direct 6-pin plug-ins.
