How many amps does the SR-955HPC+ pull on transmit?
Rated 12 A with modulation on AM. On SSB peaks with 100+ W PEP output the current draw peaks higher, so for a home base station install use a regulated DC power supply rated for at least 25–30 A continuous. For a truck install, wire directly to the battery through a properly-rated fuse — do not run it off the accessory circuit at full power.
