The Uniden Bearcat 880FM provides 40-channel AM/FM CB operation, seven NOAA weather channels, a seven-color display, RF gain, microphone gain, built-in talkback, and an SWR meter with calibration. Both stations must use the same CB channel and mode to communicate.

Installation and clearance
A 102-inch whip needs substantial overhead clearance. The spring and mounting position add to the antenna assembly's overall height, so the whip measurement is not the finished installation height.
Check that the mounting location can support the whip and spring, and establish an appropriate RF ground connection. Although the included bracket is described as universal, it is not a guarantee of fit on every vehicle or mirror support.
Route the coax securely and check the installed antenna system's SWR before transmitting. The Bearcat's SWR meter and calibration function support that check; antenna adjustment is still performed at the antenna system.
