The DRX-1518 is 18 feet of premium M213 double-shielded coax with a removable PL-259 connector on one end. M213 is the correct impedance-matched cable for a 100+ W PEP 10 meter run without loss — cheap coax will fine-work for receive but soaks talk power on transmit and shortens the effective radiated range. Removable PL-259 makes routing through firewalls and grommets easier: pull the connector off, run the coax, put it back on.

Is this combo everything I need to install a 10 meter radio in my truck?
Yes — with one exception. This combo includes the radio, antenna, mirror mount, and coax jumper. You still need a mirror bracket (usually already on the truck) and a way to power the radio. For power, wire directly to the battery through a properly-rated fuse. For a home base install, use a regulated DC power supply rated at least 25–30 A continuous.

How do I tune the SR-A10 antenna after install?
The SR-A10 is tunable at the tip. After install, key up on a low channel (28.000 MHz), read SWR on the radio's built-in auto-calibrating SWR meter, then key up on a high channel (29.700 MHz). Adjust the tip length until SWR is balanced across the band — typically under 1.5:1. If SWR is high across the board, check ground bonding on the mount first.
Will this combo work in my pickup or SUV?
