Ranger RCI-69FFC6 10 Meter Amateur Radio, Stryker SR-A10 Antenna, DRX-3402 Heavy Duty Mirror Mount, DRX-1518 18 Foot Premium M213 Coax, Combo
Ranger RCI-69FFC6 + SR-A10 + DRX-3402 + DRX-1518 — Complete 10-Meter Truck Install Combo
A complete over-the-road 10-meter install kit: the Ranger RCI-69FFC6 450W-PEP 10-meter amateur radio, the Stryker SR-A10 10-meter mobile antenna, the DRX-3402 heavy-duty magnum mirror mount, and 18 feet of DRX-1518 premium M213 super-flex coax. Everything you need to put a full-power 10-meter mobile on the air with a properly matched antenna system.
Note: this is a 10-meter amateur radio. Operating it on-air requires an FCC amateur radio license (Technician-class minimum for 10-meter SSB in the U.S.).
Why this combo
The 69FFC6 is only as good as its antenna system. Feed 450W PEP into a poorly matched CB whip cut for 27 MHz and you'll heat up coax, run high SWR, and get modest range for the power expended. This kit pairs the 69FFC6 with a 10-meter-tuned Stryker antenna on a heavy-duty mirror mount, using premium M213 coax rated well above the radio's peak output. All four pieces are matched for a clean, low-SWR install in the 28–29 MHz band.

Install and tuning
Antenna installation is where the whole system either sings or squawks. Every antenna needs to be SWR-checked at install — mounting location, ground plane, and coax routing all affect the match. We verify SWR at antenna installation on any local install; if you're installing yourself, an inline SWR meter or an antenna analyzer is essential. Don't transmit at 450W PEP into an unverified antenna system.
Coax should be routed away from ignition wiring, spark plugs, and alternator leads. Ground the antenna mount to bare vehicle metal for best radiation efficiency. Because this radio has an SO-239 pigtail, terminate your DRX-1518 at the pigtail end and keep the run short — 18 ft is optimal for a mirror-mount install in a standard cab, and shorter is better for a sleeper.
10-meter licensing
The 10-meter amateur band requires an FCC amateur radio license — Technician class or higher. See our 10-meter radio license guide for FCC and ARRL testing resources. This radio should not be operated on air until the operator holds a valid amateur radio license.
Recommended add-ons
- DRX-6560 4-pin noise-cancelling dynamic microphone — upgrade path from the stock mic (correct 4-pin wiring for the 69FFC6)
- DRX-9010 Driver Extreme premium external speaker — pulls SSB voice off-axis in a noisy cab
- Pro Tune and Alignment — don't forget to add the Pro tune and alignment option at checkout so that your radio is professionally bench-tuned for best performance per the manufacturer's service manual.
